Who made Dinoblade? Jean Nguyen / Team Spino LLC developed it with Boltray Games; viral Spinosaurus animation origin and July 23, 2026 Steam launch.

Who made Dinoblade?

Dinoblade was developed by Team Spino LLC, the studio led by Jean Nguyen, and published by Team Spino LLC and Boltray Games. Steam lists those companies directly on the store page.

From an animation to a game

Nguyen's public description of the project starts with a personal animation experiment: a Spinosaurus wielding a greatsword in its jaws. The response encouraged him to turn the concept into a playable action game. In a July 13, 2026 interview, he described Dinoblade as a project built around readable animation, deliberate combat and repeated demo feedback.

The finished game uses Unreal Engine 5, but that fact does not prove that a console port is easy or planned. Platform decisions are covered separately in the PS5 status guide.

Demo, publisher and release

A free Steam demo gave players an early version of the opening combat loop. The current Steam page still lists a demo, while the full game is a paid release.

Dinoblade launched for Windows PC on Steam on July 23, 2026. The US list price shown in the launch material is $19.99, with regional pricing varying. The temporary launch discount ended on July 30, so it is no longer presented as the current price.

What the developer has said about consoles

Nguyen told GamingBolt that console ports were being considered, but that any decision depended on the PC release's performance and player demand. That was an expression of interest, not a PS5 or Xbox announcement. As of August 3, 2026, the official store still lists Windows only.
